Staying loyal to the innovative history of the brand, the Atlas Blackout Bearings are not just your average built-in bearing. Blackout bearings are built to simplify your entire setup eliminating the need for bearings spacers and speedrings. When axle nuts are tightened down the result is often compression of the interior bearing spacer. This puts stress on your bearings and introduces slop into your setup, detracting from the precision that a bearing spacer is intended to provide. The flared spacer built into the Atlas Blackout Bearing increases the surface area of the load bearing foot between the two bearings. This provides additional support and prevents compression of the spacer giving Atlas Blackout Bearings a more precise ride, faster roll speed and a long lasting life.

Fitment & Compatibility

Verified Specs

  • Bearing Size: 608 (standard skateboard bearing, 8mm inner diameter × 22mm outer diameter × 7mm wide)
  • Axle Size: 8mm — fits all standard skateboard truck axles
  • Built-in Spacer: Yes — no separate bearing spacer or speed rings required

Compatible Trucks

Designed specifically for Atlas Truck Co. trucks with 8mm axles. Also fits any standard skateboard truck running a standard 8mm axle, including:

  • Independent Trucks (all standard and hollow axle models)
  • Thunder Trucks (all standard models)
  • Venture Trucks (all standard models)
  • Krux Trucks (all standard models)
  • Tensor Trucks (all standard models)

Compatible Wheel Sizes

Works with all standard skateboard wheels with a standard 8mm bearing seat. No adapter or modification needed.

Not Compatible With

  • Longboard trucks using a 10mm axle
  • Inline skate or roller derby wheels
  • Any wheel or truck requiring a non-standard bearing size other than 608

If you're unsure whether these bearings fit your setup, check that your truck uses an 8mm axle and your wheels take a standard 608 bearing — the most common configuration in skateboarding.
